have joined their efforts to Restore and preserve ceramic

Cultural center Trakart and Archaeological Museum Plovdiv realize project for restoration and conservation ceramic, found nearby ancient building “EIPHNH”. The pottery enrich idea of area and people lived here, it is part of culture periods between ² – X V²²² centuries AD. Restored ceramics take different shape and use – bowls, earthen jug, amphora, lamps, jars etc.

There are some different restoration stages. Ceramic found in the ground mostly is broken. First step is to put together all peaces of each pot. Next is cleaning of coating, desalinate and get them stronger. Afterwards when ceramic peaces are prepared the step is to fit them together, to build up missing parts and retouch them.
